Paradise Island Resort & Spa, Maldives, Review.

This 5* resort doesn’t do itself any favours with a name that conjures thoughts of a guest house on the Costa del Sol, however the reality is very different indeed. Locally known as Lankanfinolhu, the island is approximately 10km from Male International Airport and enjoys a tropical climate (much like the rest of The Maldives) but more specifically it has bright white beaches, a shimmering azure lagoon and coconut palms that gently sway in the warm breeze that comes in off the Indian Ocean.

There are just 260 rooms on the island which makes the resort generally very quiet and you can always find your own space to relax and unwind or your own spot on the beach to enjoy the incredible surroundings. You can choose from a superbly appointed water bungalow that allows you to fully appreciate the breathtaking sunsets that the island is renowned for. There are also haven villas, super deluxe beach rooms, haven suites and the ultra-exclusive Ocean Suites which sit just at the reef’s edge and offer unrivalled levels of luxury and comfort.

Paradise Island Resort & Spa Reviews

“One of the finest resorts in The Maldives”
“A great place to stay provided you book the right accommodation – the beach bungalows are very basic however this is reflected in the price you pay so if you are looking for a taste of a luxury resort but need value for money then the beach bungalow is for you. If however, you are looking for something a little more special then I’d recommend opting for one of the Ocean Suites.”

“Paradise on earth, me and my new husband had a fantastic honeymoon here in April. The staff were excellent and we were looked after from the moment we stepped off the plane in Male. We were greeted and swiftly found ourselves aboard a high-speed boat
took us to the resort – a truly exhilirating experience and the chance to enjoy the scenery. When we stepped on to Paradise Island, everything was taken care of and we were made to feel very welcome indeed without staff being imposing.”
