Angaga Island Resort Hotel

Little over 25 minutes by seaplane from Male International airport is the beautiful island resort of Angaga. Nestled in the center of the South Ari Atoll, it is renowned for being one of the most authentic, exceptional and luxurious island resorts in the whole of The Maldives.

The resort owners are guardians of the island ensuring it retains that authenticity that you expect, whilst respecting nature and providing a world-class luxury experience that guests demand. The resort staff help achieve this, complimenting the breathtaking surroundings to create an amazing atmosphere whether you are on the island for romance, adventure or supreme relaxation…Angaga Island Resort caters to all.

Angaga Island Resort Hotel

Officially a 4 star resort, guests have the choice of a beach bungalow or a water bungalow. Both come equipped with the creature comforts that you desire whilst on holiday. The water bungalows come complete with your own private sun-deck to enjoy the tropical Maldivian climate free from interruption by other holidaymakers. Given that there are only 70 rooms on the island, you’ll never find the resort ‘overrun with tourists’ – you can count on Angaga to be your escape-filled haven from the rat race.

Angaga Island Resort Hotel Reviews

Angaga Island Resort Hotel

“The spa offers wonderful massages and treatments at reasonable prices to (from $ 45 for 50 min.) The girls are very nice and know how to send one into other spheres!

The restaurant though is not really comfortable and the food is very monotonous, so that we have not eaten for longer than necessary there. The service was lousy. The breakfast buffet was great though! Every day there were two different juices, waffles, pancakes with various toppings, French toast, omelets, eggs, beans, jam (which were not so great), fruits, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses and cakes.

The dinner buffet was often bland, and although there was a lot but it was pretty much every night the same thing. The dessert buffet was good. Every night there was freshly baked fruit, cakes, creams, fruit and cheese. In the bars good cocktails are mixed at very reasonable prices.”
